Acular LS is used to provide relieve from eye itching caused by allergies. This drug is also used for reducing ocular stinging, burning, and pain after corneal refractive surgery or cataract surgery. Acular LS is meant for ophthalmic use only.
The generic name of this drug is Ketorolac Tromethamine Ophthalmic Solution. It falls under a class of drugs referred to as NSAIDs or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Acular LS reduces eye swelling and pain by inhibiting the production of a chemical called prostaglandins, which causes inflammation.
Ketorolac Tromethamine is the active ingredient in this drug.
