General Information On Alrex Eye Drops

Alrex Eye Drops is a prescription drug used for treating seasonal eye allergy or allergic conjunctivitis. It can treat swollen eyes due to to surgery, infection, or other conditions. The drug known by its generic name Loteprednol Ophthalmic and it belongs to a class of drugs known as corticosteroids.

Alrex Eye Drops helps in reducing the eye inflammation by restricting the body’s capacity to produce immune system reactions. Alrex Eye Drops is available in the form of eye drops and is administered externally with a dropper. It should not be taken orally. It is available only in one strength – Alrex 0.2%, and it comes in a 5ml or 10ml bottle.

Alrex Eye Drops do have the potential to cause some side effects. The severity of the side effects may vary from person to person. While most patients experience only minor side effects, few others may cope well with the medication and may not suffer from any side effects at all. In rare cases, patients using Alrex Eye Drops may suffer from serious side effects.
