Basic Information On Anzemet
Anzemet is a prescription drug that is used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by either surgery or due to chemotherapy treatment. This drug blocks serotonin, a chemical that is present in the body and is responsible for causing nausea and vomiting. This drug is available in tablet form and should be taken as per your doctor’s advice. Usually this drug is taken an hour before chemotherapy and a couple of hours before surgery. Serotonin has different receptors in the body that it can bind. By blocking serotonin to a specific type of receptor, this drug controls nausea and vomiting.
