Bactroban Ointment is used for treating impetigo, a skin infection also known as school sores. It can also be used for other purposes. The generic name of the drug is Mupirocin and it belongs to the group of drugs known as antibiotics.
Bactroban Ointment works by killing the bacteria in your skin that causes the infection. It can be applied directly on your skin. The drug is available in tubes of Bactroban Ointment 15g and Bactroban Ointment 30g sizes.
The drug contains Mupirocin dissolved in an ointment base along with polyethylene glycol.
Side effects of Bactroban Ointment
