Baraclude is a medicine used in the treatment of Hepatitis B virus (HBV) in adults. The drug basically controls the level of this virus in infected patients. Try to take the drug at the same time every day. The lower the amount of the hepatitis B virus in your body, the more likely it is that the condition of your liver can improve. The recommended dose for adults and adolescents age 16 or older is 0.5 mg once daily on an empty stomach. It can be further increased to 1.0 mg once daily for patients. This drug should not be taken if you have HIV (human immunodeficiency virus).
