You may also experience occasional loss of coordination, occasional slurring of speech and memory problems. Mycophenolate can cause harm to the fetus. Cellcept Dosage
The dosage depends on the type of organ transplanted. For preventing cardiac transplant rejection 1500 mg is prescribed. For prevention of kidney transplant rejection, 1000 mg per day is sufficient for adults and to prevent rejection of liver transplant, 1500 mg of brand or generic Cellcept is required. It can also be prescribed for pediatrics from 3 months to 18 years of age. The recommended dosage is 600 mg given twice but this may be increased depending on the body surface area. Dosage needs to be adjusted for renal transplant patients with severe renal impairment. For such patients, dosage should be restricted to less than 2 g per day. The oral medication is prescribed for two to three weeks after surgery.
