Climara is a transdermal medication used for the treatment of menopause symptoms like itching, burning sensation, and dryness in the vaginal area. The generic name of Climara is estradial, which is a synthesized form of the naturally produced estrogen hormone found in women. Estrogen regulates several processes in the body.

Dosage of Climara
Climara is available as a transdermal skin patch in various strengths- 6.5 cm2, 9.375 cm2, 12.5 cm2, 15 cm2, 18.75 cm2 and 25 cm2. The patient is recommended to start using the patch with the lowest strength, which is 6.5 cm2. However, your doctor may prescribe a different strength as per your medical condition.
To apply the Climara skin patch, you must place the adhesive side onto a clean and dry section of your lower abdomen or onto the upper area of your buttocks. It must not be applied near or directly on the breasts. The patch must be pressed firmly for around 10 seconds.
