Dantrium is a muscle relaxant that is used for the treatment of spasms (also known as spasticity) caused by nerve disorders like stroke, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy or multiple sclerosis. The risk of this seems to be more in women, older people in the age group of 35 years and above, people between their third and twelfth month of using brand or generic Dantrium and people using certain other medications along with Dantrium drug. You should consult your doctor if you notice any signs of liver problems while taking Dantrium like yellowing of skin or eyes, serious stomach pain, dark urine or unusual fatigue.

Dantrium Dosage
Following is the gradual titration schedule suggested for the administration of Dantrium. Some people do not respond till higher daily dosage is given to them. Every dosage level must be maintained for 7 days in order to determine the patient's response. This medicine should be taken as 25 mg once every day for 7 days, then 25 mg t.i.d (three times a day) for seven days, followed by 50 mg t.i.d for seven days and then 100 mg t.i.d.
