General Information on Epiquin Micro
Epiquin Micro is used for lightening darkened areas of the skin due to freckles, melasma, chloasma, or age spots. The generic name of its active ingredient is Hydroquinone, and it belongs to the class of topical corticosteroids.
Melanin is a pigment which gives skin its color. Epiquin Micro works by decreasing the formation of melanin. You can buy Epiquin Micro in the form of a topical application.
The skin can also become dark due to liver spots, hyperpigmentation, pregnancy, hormonal medicines, birth control pills, or injury to the skin. This drug can be used to treat such skin conditions too.
Side effects of Epiquin Micro
Do not buy Epiquin Micro if you have bruised, chapped, or broken skin. Also inform your doctor if you are suffering from any other skin condition such as psoriasis or eczema, as severe skin irritations may surface if you use Epiquin Micro. Also do not use this drug if you have asthma or any other breathing problem, as it may worsen the condition or trigger your attack. Pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers should also use Epiquin Micro with caution, as it may adversely affect the unborn baby or breastfeeding infant.
Mild stinging, burning, dryness, or redness may commonly occur after using Epiquin Micro. If any of these side effects become intolerable, you should inform your doctor at once.
Some serious side effects associated with Epiquin Micro include blue-black darkening of the skin and/or skin cracking or blistering. These signs may indicate that you have some serious underlying condition. Inform your doctor if you experience any of these symptoms so that he or she can take steps to treat them as soon as possible.
Some patients may also develop an allergic reaction to Epiquin Micro. Symptoms of an allergy include hives, itching or swelling of the face, tongue, throat or lips, severe dizziness, or difficulty breathing. Stop using the drug and inform your doctor immediately if you have an allergic reaction to the medicine.
Epiquin Micro increases your skin’s sensitivity to the sun. Dosage of Epiquin Micro
Before starting regular treatment with Epiquin Micro, you should conduct a patch test. For this, apply a small amount of the drug on any part of your skin and check the area after 24 hours. If you do not experience any blistering, puffiness, redness, or itching, you can continue using Epiquin Micro. Otherwise, this is not a safe product for you.
If you have passed the patch test, your doctor will advise you to apply Epiquin Micro on the affected area twice a day. Remember that this drug is for topical use only and should not be swallowed. Also do not get it in contact with your eyes, ears, nose or mouth, as severe irritation may occur. If this happens, wash the area thoroughly with running water. Contact your doctor and seek medical help if irritation persists.
