General Information on FemHrt
FemHrt is used to treat menopause symptoms such as night sweats and hot flashes. It is also indicated to prevent osteoporosis in women who have reached the menopause stage. The drug is a combination of two medications, Norethindrone Acetate and Ethinyl Estradiol.
Norethindrone Acetate is a progestin hormone while Ethinyl Estradiol is an Estrogen hormone. Estrogen is naturally occurring hormone produced by the ovaries. In postmenopausal women, the ovaries are no longer capable of producing estrogen on their own. The drug works to replenish Estrogen levels, which helps reduce menopause symptoms.
If Estrogen is given alone, it increases the risk of cancer of the uterus lining. Norethindrone Acetate (Progestin) works to decrease this risk. FemHrt should be only used by women who have an intact uterus and not by those who have undergone a hysterectomy.
FemHrt is available in the form of a tablet. It is available in two strengths, FemHrt 0.5/2.5 (0.5mg of Norethindrone Acetate and 2.5mcg of Ethinyl Estradiol) and FemHrt 1/5 (1mg of Norethindrone Acetate and 5mcg of Ethinyl Estradiol). The drug is a prescription medication, so consult your doctor before you buy FemHrt online to prevent unnecessary health complications.
