Flovent Diskus is recommended for reducing the number of attacks and intensity of asthma. It would be more helpful to prevent an attack or moderate its severity than treatment after an attack sets in. Asthma is a chronic disease which inflames the air passages. Certain cells in the air passages or lungs release substances which cause asthma. The symptoms include cough, wheezing and breathlessness sometimes accompanied by a typical sound.
