Side effects of Humalog 75/25 Insulin Cartridge
Do not buy Humalog 75/25 Insulin Cartridge if you have a kidney or liver disease, or if you have allergy to insulin. Patients allergic to insulin can develop serious symptoms such as hives with itching on the entire body, trouble breathing, wheezing, sweating or fast heartbeats. Discontinue taking the medicine and inform your doctor immediately if you develop any of these symptoms and if they persist even after stopping the medicine.
The medicine will be given to you along with a complete treatment program. This program includes a diet plan, exercise regime, foot care, dental care, eye care, weight control and blood sugar tests to be taken regularly. If you do not stick to this program, your blood sugar level may get affected significantly.
Local area reaction can commonly occur, including swelling, itching, thickening or redness at the site of injection. Inform your doctor if oozing or excessive inflammation takes place at this area.
Sometimes, the medicine can cause your blood sugar level to go too low. Symptoms of such condition include seizures, fainting, fast heartbeat, rapid breathing, difficulty concentrating, irritability, tremors, sweating, weakness, hunger or headache. Take a glucose tablet or hard candy whenever you experience any of these symptoms. Inform your doctor if your symptoms do not improve even after taking a quick source of sugar.
In some cases, the medicine may also lead to hypokalemia, a condition in which potassium levels in your blood go too low. Symptoms of such condition include limp feeling, muscle weakness, leg discomfort, increased urination, extreme thirst, uneven heart rate or confusion. Seek medical attention immediately if you develop any of these symptoms.
