Side effects of Lamictal Chewable
Certain side effects of Lamictal Chewable have been noticed by doctors, although most of them are mild. The most common side effects include headache, dizziness, ataxia, diplopia, blurred vision, nausea, rhinitis, somnolence, and rash. Some side effects like infection, fever and vomiting, pharyngitis, accidental injury, and abdominal pain have been noticed mainly in children.
Some of the severe side effects of Lamotrigine include increase in the frequency of seizures, increase in intensity of seizures, anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts, unusual bruising and bleeding, symptoms of liver damage including jaundice, symptoms of aseptic meningitis, severe pain in the muscles, and frequent infection.

The incidence of rashes is more in pediatric patients and in those receiving Lamictal Chewable as adjunctive therapy for epilepsy. These rashes can be life-threatening and have, in many cases, led to the hospitalization of a patient and withdrawal of the treatment.
