General Information On Lustra AF
Lustra AF is used for lightening dark skin patches caused due to pregnancy, hormonal medicines, birth control pills or skin injury. Such patches may include age spots, liver spots, freckles, melasma or hyper-pigmentation.
The active ingredient in the drug is Hydroquinone, and it belongs to the category of de-pigmenting agents. It also has sunscreen, which prevents the spots from returning due to exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet rays.
The medicine is used in the form of a topical application. It works by blocking processes in the skin that darken it.
Side effects of Lustra AF
Do not buy Lustra AF online if you are allergic to sunscreens or sulfites, or if you have asthma or other skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis. Your doctor will need to make some special adjustments if you have a liver or kidney disease. Such patients may have more risks of developing serious side effects of the drug.
Do not apply Lustra AF on dry, sun-burnt, wind-burnt, chapped or irritated skin, or on any open wounds. This may cause serious irritation in the area.
Avoid using products such as shampoos, harsh soaps, skin cleansers, waxes, hair colors, hair removers, permanent chemicals, or products that contain alcohol, astringents, lime or spices. Severe irritation may surface if you do so.
If you buy Lustra AF and use it, you may commonly experience redness, dryness, mild burning or stinging at the application site. However, you should contact your doctor if any of these become intolerable.
Some serious side effects associated with the drug include blistering, cracking or blue-black darkening of the skin. Seek medical help immediately if you develop any of these symptoms.
You should also look out for symptoms of an allergy, especially if you are using the medicine for the first time. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include swelling or itching on throat, lips, tongue or face, severe dizziness, difficulty breathing, or hives. Discontinue using Lustra AF and seek medical help if you encounter any of these symptoms.
Dosage of Lustra AF
Usually, your doctor will advise you to apply the cream on the affected area twice a day. The amount of medicine and duration of treatment will largely depend on the type, size and severity of your skin condition.
Before starting Lustra AF treatment, you should try the cream on a small patch of your healthy skin. Apply the cream and notice its condition after 24 hours. If no puffiness, blistering or itching is noticed, the medicine is safe to be used on your skin.
The medicine is meant to be used only topically, and should not be ingested. Also avoid contact with your eyes, nose, ears or mouth. If this happens, wash the area thoroughly with water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention immediately.
Interactions
Your doctor will not ask you to buy Lustra AF if you are already using any other topical medicines to treat same or any other skin condition. Also inform your doctor if you are using any herbal products to treat the condition.
Also do not use any cosmetic products on the affected skin, as it may cause severe irritation in the area.
