General Information on Mavik
Mavik is used for lowering the blood pressure in hypertensive patients. In this way, the medicine helps in preventing kidney problems, heart attacks or strokes associated with high blood pressure. Generic name of the medicine is Trandolapril, and it belongs to the class of ACE inhibitors.
The medicine can also be used for improving survival after acute heart attack. Your doctor may recommend you to buy Mavik along with other drugs such as water pills, in order to treat congestive heart failure. Sometimes, Mavik can also be used for preventing kidney damage due to diabetes.
The medicine lowers blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels, so that they become wider and blood can flow through them more easily. You will have to take this medicine in the form of oral tablets.
