You can buy Natazia as a female birth control pill. This medicine is a combination of 2 drugs- dienogest and estradiol, both of which are hormones found in the female body.
The two hormones used in Natazia help prevent pregnancy in three ways. Firstly, the drug prevents the process of ovulation, which is when an egg is released from the ovary. In case the egg release, Natazia causes the cervical mucus to change in such a way that it becomes harder for sperms to reach the uterus. If a sperm does manage to fertilize an egg, then Natazia also causes the uterine lining to change in such a way that the fertilized egg cannot attach itself to the uterus.
Side effects of Natazia
If you are already pregnant, Natazia may harm the fetus and cause serious birth defects. Therefore, this drug must not be used if you are already pregnant. You must also not take this medicine if you have previously suffered from a heart attack, stroke, blood clot, coronary artery disorder or circulation problems. You must also not take Natazia if you are suffer from uterine or breast cancer, unusual vaginal bleeding, eye, kidney or blood circulation problems caused by diabetes, uncontrolled hypertension, liver cancer or disease, severe migraine headache or heart rhythm disorder. Natazia is not to be taken by women over the age of 35 years or who have a smoking habit.
The most common side effect of Natazia is breakthrough bleeding. You must let your doctor know if the bleeding continues for longer than usual or becomes heavy. Other mild side effects of Natazia include mild vomiting, changes in weight and appetite, tenderness or swelling of the breasts, headache, dizziness, mild nausea, nervousness, vaginal discharge or itching and the appearance of freckles or darkening of facial skin.
Serious side effects caused by Natazia include lumps on the breasts, jaundice, pain, redness or swelling in both or just one leg, severe headache, coughing out blood and problems in balance, speech and vision.
Dosage of Natazia
You must buy Natazia only as per your doctor’s advice. You must take a larger dose than what was prescribed or use the drug for a time longer than the treatment period prescribed for you. The first pill of Natazia is recommended to be taken on the first day that marks the onset of your period. You may also begin taking Natazia from the first Sunday after the onset of your period.
The 28-day pack of Natazia contains five types of pills differentiated by their colors. Each type of pill has to be taken in the exact order given on the blister pack. If you have any doubts regarding the treatment plan, you may consult your doctor or pharmacist. One pill needs to be taken everyday.
If you are just beginning to take Natazia, you may also need to use other forms of birth control. This is because Natazia takes some time to start affecting the woman’s reproductive system and become effective in preventing pregnancy. You may use other non-hormonal methods of birth control, such as a spermicide or a condom.
