General Information about Orudis
Orudis is generally prescribed for people suffering from rheumatoid arthritis and/or osteoarthritis. Orudis is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug or NSAID and is only capable of treating or relieving the pain experienced by the patient. You must not buy Orudis as a cure for rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis, Orudis simply provides relief from the symptoms of these conditions. The generic name of Orudis is Ketoprofen. People who have a history of heart problems must never use Orudis since doing so can cause fatal problems like heart attacks and stomach ulcers.
Orudis may also be taken for other purposes not mentioned above. However, you must only use this medication if it has been prescribed for you by a doctor after a complete medical evaluation.
Side Effects of Orudis
Some of the minor side effects which are associated with the use of Orudis are as follows:
Constipation
Fatigue and drowsiness
Dizziness and headaches
Heartburn
Vomiting and nausea
Stomach aches and pains
The above mentioned side effects are not harmful unless they worsen or persist over time, in which case emergency medical help must be sought. The severe side effects of Orudis include:
Serious allergic reactions like rashes, breathing difficulties, chest tightness and pain, and swelling in various parts of the body
Notable change in the amount of urine passed
Depression or anxiety, often accompanied by frequent mood changes
Rapid heartbeat
Speech difficulties, along with headaches and dizziness
Severe vomiting
Patients should contact their doctor immediately if they witness any severe side effects. Additionally, pregnant or breastfeeding women are advised not to take the drug. Those taking other prescription drugs and patients with liver or heart problems must talk to their doctor before they buy Orudis. Orudis also interacts adversely with alcohol, so those who drink heavily must not drink during Orudis treatment.
Dosage of Orudis
Orudis is a potent drug and must be used very carefully after a patient discusses the risks and benefits of the drug with the doctor. The doctor’s advice and recommendation must always be taken into consideration prior to using Orudis. The drug can be taken orally, but some users have complained of stomach aches when the drug is taken without food. To prevent this issue, Orudis can be taken along with food with a glass of water. Users should be very careful when dealing with missed doses. Two doses must never be administered at once to make up for one missed dose as doing so can cause major side effects. If you miss a dose and it is already time to take another dose, you may skip the last one and continue with your treatment.
Interactions
There are several drugs that can interact with Orudis, such as aspirin, anticoagulants, lithium, and diuretics. This is not a complete list of drugs that react adversely with Orudis. To prevent any future complications, inform your doctor about all the prescription, herbal, and over the counter drugs or supplements you are taking at present.
