General Information on Volmax
Volmax is indicated for the treatment of bronchospasm (shortness of breath, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, wheezing) due to COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) or asthma. The generic name of this drug is Salbutamol. It comes under a category of drugs referred as bronchodilators.
Volmax improves breathing and other symptoms of bronchospasm by opening up the airways. This drug is meant for oral administration. You can buy Volmax online in form of oral tablets, which come in following two strengths Volmax 4 mg and 8 mg.
The nonmedical ingredients present in this drug are: povidone 30, sodium chloride, silica gel, magnesium stearate, and croscarmellose sodium.
Side effects of Volmax
You should not buy Volmax if you are hypersensitive to Salbutamol or any other ingredient used in this drug. Patients who take Volmax for first time and experience a hypersensitivity reaction should stop the medication and seek medical help. Severe hypersensitivity reaction, if left untreated, may become fatal. Symptoms associated with hypersensitivity reaction are: facial flushness, hives, wheezing, difficulty swallowing or breathing, swelling of the lips or face, or severe skin rashes.
Other side effects associated with Volmax may include the following:
- Nervous tension
- Tremor
- Hypokalemia (less than normal potassium blood level)
- Heart palpitations
- Tachycardia (fast heart beat)
- Headache

Dosage of Volmax
Volmax is taken twice daily. Adult patients and children older than 12 years are recommended to take Volmax 8 mg twice daily, one dosage in the morning and one dosage in the evening (approximately 12 hours apart). The recommended dosage for children in age bracket 3-12 years is Volmax 4 mg twice daily, one dosage in the morning and one dosage in the evening.
Interactions
Certain drugs such as diuretics, other bronchodilators, and corticosteroids may interact with Volmax. Possibility of interaction with other drugs cannot also be ruled out. It is necessary that you tell your doctor about all other drugs, including all non-prescription drugs, that you are taking.
