Basic Information On Zofran ODT
Zofran ODT is used for preventing nausea and associated vomiting caused due to chemotherapy and in patients post surgery. One of the main side effects of many drugs used for chemotherapy is nausea and vomiting. For some it is so bad, that future course of treatment has to be substantially modified, which may not be effective to avoid nausea and vomiting. The Zofran ODT drug also prevents nausea in patients who have either partial or full body irradiation for cancer. In patients after surgery, when there is a high chance of vomiting, the drug is orally administered.
