Zolinza is indicted in treatment of skin problems specifically caused by cutaneous T cell lymphoma. It is specifically prescribed when other treatments are not successful to treat the symptoms.
Vorinostat, the main active ingredient in the medication belongs to a group of medicines known as multikinase inhibitors. It works by inhibiting the action of Histone Deacetylase, a naturally occurring enzyme in the cells. This action stops the cell division and replication and also causes death of cells.

Your doctor will give specific instructions regarding the dosage. The recommended Zolinza dose is 400mg, once daily. Take the medication with food. Swallow the capsule whole, do not break or chew it. You should drink around 64 ounces of water during the day to avoid dehydration.
The dosage may be decreased if the patient is not able to tolerate it. The dose may be reduced to 300mg, once daily with food. If required the dosage may be reduced to 300mg, once daily with food for 5 successive days each week.

Zolinza may potentially interact with other medicines you are using and cause side effects. It may interact with medicines such as blood thinners such as Warfarin, or Alproic acid.
