Covid-19 Service Update

At North Drugstore, the health and safety of our customers and staff is our highest priority. Due to the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic affecting us all, there have been some changes within our industry in general, and in our company specifically, that we want to make our customers aware of.

Call Center

Our current call center hours of operation are 6AM – 9PM every day, seven days per week. If you are experiencing increased hold times or are calling outside of these hours, please leave us a message or send us an email and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Due to increased demand on telephone networks worldwide, you may experience some intermittent connection problems. If this happens our agents will call you back.

We are currently seeing delays in our regular shipping times. Our normal shipping time averages 1 - 2 weeks. Shipments may now take an additional 2 – 4 weeks or more to arrive, depending on the source country of your order.

Please note that these times are averages and individual shipping times will vary. We highly recommend that you place your order at least 2 – 4 weeks or more ahead of your normal reorder time to avoid running out of your medication.

These are industry-wide delays and are mainly occurring due to disruptions in local postal delivery in the countries where our customers live. They are temporary, and we thank the shipping and delivery personnel who are working hard for all of us during this global crisis.

Please Note: As these types of shipping delays are not within our direct control, we are temporarily adjusting our regular Shipping Guarantee from 30 days to 60 days. We will provide updates as the situation changes.

Our Commitment

If you have any questions about any changes in our service please do not hesitate to contact us. Our staff are working tirelessly to ensure the timely fulfillment and delivery of all orders. The health of our customers and staff is our highest priority and we remain committed to providing service at the highest level.

We thank you for your support in these challenging times.

Full information about Cromolyn

General Information on Cromolyn

Cromolyn, also known as cromolyn sodium, is an anti-inflammatory drug used for the treatment of certain side effects caused by nasal allergies. These side effects include sneezing and an itchy, runny, or stuffy nose.

Cromolyn is available as an oral inhaler that can also be used for the prevention of asthma attacks. However, this medication cannot be administered for stopping an attack that has already begun. Cromolyn is also available as a nasal inhaler in order to treat the signs of allergic rhinitis, and as an ophthalmic solution for treating allergic conjunctivitis.

In addition to the above, Cromolyn is available as an oral solution and tablet for the management of mastocytosis. It is known to reduce certain side effects of this condition such as flushing, diarrhea, urticaria, abdominal pain, itching, and vomiting.

Irrespective of the method of dosage or the indications, Cromolyn has the same mode of action, which is stopping certain chemicals called histamines from being released in the body. These histamines are released by mast cells, which are commonly found in the eyelids, nose, and lungs.

Side effects of Cromolyn

The side effects of Cromolyn depend on the form of medication being taken and the medical condition being treated. Cromolyn oral solution is most commonly known to cause headache and diarrhea. Other side effects include nausea, abdominal pain, constipation, flatulence, vomiting, dysphagia, and stomatitis.

The most common mild side effects of Cromolyn oral tablets include skin itching, tiredness, diarrhea, headache, indigestion, vomiting, muscle pain, and nausea. Other serious side effects would include tightness in the chest, trouble swallowing, swelling up of the tongue, and the appearance of sores or white patches in the mouth or on the lips.

The side effects of Cromolyn nasal spray include yellow or green colored mucus in the nose, fever, tightness in the chest, wheezing, sinus pain, nosebleeds, sores in the nose, and severe irritation or stinging or burning sensation in the nose.

The mild side effects of Cromolyn inhaler include unpleasant and unusual taste in the moth, headache, dizziness, nausea, stomach pain, nosebleeds, burning sensation in the nose, watery eyes, itchy or stuffy nose, irritation or dryness in the throat, and occasional coughs. Other serious side effects include fever, rashes, itching, chest tightness, and joint pain.

Dosage of Cromolyn

The dosage of Cromolyn depends on the medical condition being treated and the form of the medication being used. In all cases, you must follow your doctor’s orders if he/she has recommended a dose for your condition.

Read the patient information leaflet that you get after purchasing Cromolyn and follow the instructions. You must consult your doctor if your condition is serious or if you have any doubts about the right use of the product.
