Shipping Update

We are now seeing improvements in our shipping times. However, things are not yet back to normal and there are still some delays occurring.

Our normal shipping time averages 1 - 2 weeks. Shipments may potentially take an additional 2 – 4 weeks to arrive, depending on the source country of your order. Shipments from the United Kingdom and Canada are generally quicker than from other countries.

Please note that these times are averages and individual shipping times will vary. We highly recommend that you place your order at least 2 – 4 weeks or more ahead of your normal reorder time to avoid running out of your medication.

These delays are temporary, and we thank the shipping and delivery personnel who are working hard for all of us during this global crisis.

Please Note: We have resumed our normal 30-Day Shipping Guarantee. We will provide updates as the situation changes.

Call Center

Our call center hours of operation are 6:00 am – 9:00 pm Central Time on Monday to Friday, and 7:00 am – 7:00 pm Central Time on Saturday and Sunday.

If you are experiencing increased hold times or are calling outside of these hours, please leave us a message or send us an email and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Due to increased demand on telephone networks worldwide, you may experience some intermittent connection problems. If this happens our agents will call you back.

Full information about Ospolot

Basic Information On Ospolot

Ospolot is an anti-convulsion agent which is used in the treatment and management of Pseudo-Lennox Syndrome and Rolando-Epilepsy in children and youth and Focal-Epilepsy in adults (with/without secondary generalizations). It is effective in treating partial seizures, myoclonic seizures, Jacksonian seizures, grand mal seizures and behavioral disorders that are associated with epilepsy. However, the drug does not have any anti-bacterial activity unlike other sulfonamide agents. Brand or generic Ospolot acts by inhibiting an enzyme in the nerve cells called carboanhydrase (or carbonic anhydrase enzyme). By doing this the drug reduces and interrupts the conduction of stimulus in the nerve cells. The drug is effectively used in patients who have not satisfactorily responded to other therapy and helps in reducing or stopping the attacks, especially in Rolando-epilepsy.

Precautions / Side Effects For Ospolot

The most common side effect that you may experience with Ospolot is gastric complaints. Other commons side effects may include paraesthesias in the face or in the extremities, dyspnoea, hyperpnoea, tachypnoea, headache, tachycardia, stenocardia, double vision, loss of weight, loss of appetite and double vision. Rare side effects include anxiety, hallucination, lack of drive, myasthenic phenomenon, joint pain, a state of grand mal or increase in the seizure activity may also be triggered. Do not administer Sulthiame if you are hypersensitive to any of its constituents.

Let your physician know if you have side effects such as sore throat, fever, flu-like symptoms, allergic reactions on skin or swelling of lymph nodes with Sulthiame. Patients with acute porphyria also should not administer the drug. The drug should be administered with caution in patients with hypertension and patients who show signs of hyper-function of the thyroid gland (for example hyperthyroidism). If you have prior history of renal insufficiency or psychiatric disease then do not administer brand or generic Ospolot without consulting your doctor.

Ospolot Dosage

The usual dose of Ospolot is recommended to be 5 mg/kg to 10 mg/kg of body weight per day. The drug is divided and administered in 3 doses each day. For example, a child weighing 50 kg may require 250 mg to 500 mg of dosage each day. Initially, the dosage of the drug is titrated for each patient differently to achieve the middle dosage range. Also, the dose of the Ospolot drug is determined based on a patient’s body weight. The therapeutic target dose is determined based on the risk and benefit to the patient. Based on the seizure attacks, the dose may be adjusted.
