Shipping Update

We are now seeing improvements in our shipping times. However, things are not yet back to normal and there are still some delays occurring. We will provide updates as the situation changes.

Our normal shipping time averages 1 - 2 weeks. Due to the pandemic, shipments may sometimes take an additional 2 – 4 weeks to arrive, depending on the source country of your order. Shipments from the United Kingdom and Canada are generally quicker than from other countries.

Please note that these times are averages and individual shipping times will vary. We highly recommend that you place your order at least 2 – 4 weeks or more ahead of your normal reorder time to avoid running out of your medication.

We offer a shipping guarantee when you place an order with us. If your order does not arrive within 6 weeks from the date it was shipped, we will re-ship your order to you at no additional cost.

Call Center

Our call center hours of operation are 6:00 am – 9:00 pm Central Time on Monday to Friday, and 7:00 am – 7:00 pm Central Time on Saturday and Sunday.

If you are experiencing increased hold times or are calling outside of these hours, please leave us a message or send us an email and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Full information about Uloric

Basic Information On Uloric

Uloric is a xanthine oxidase (XO) inhibitor. It decreases serum acid uric and it is used to treat chronic hyperuricemia in adult patients with gout. It is also used to treat increased uric acid levels in the blood. Uric acid is the final product formed in the body after breaking down purines. Increased uric acid levels cause hyperuricemia. The Uloric drug inhibits the enzyme xanthine oxidase which is required to produce uric acid and thus decreases uric acid levels. High uric acid levels also increase the risk of developing gout. This medication, however, does not stop other enzymes which lead to purine and pyrimidine synthesis and metabolism at therapeutic concentrations. It is also not used for the treatment of asymptomatic hyperuricemia.

Precautions / Side Effects Of Uloric

Uloric contains Febuxostat. The common side effects caused by this drug are nausea, liver disorders, joint pain, gout flares, arthralgia and rash. Cardiovascular thromboembolic events like heart strokes and heart attacks may also occur in isolated cases. You should tell your doctor if you suffer from any kidney disease, liver disease or have a history of heart problems. You should also undergo liver functioning tests while taking this medicine. Brand or generic Uloric may cause gout flare up. In such a case, you should not stop taking Uloric; instead you should take other medications (Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drugs) to treat gout flares.

Febuxostat should not be taken with Theophylline, Mercaptopurine, and Azathioprine. The effect of brand or generic Uloric in pregnant and nursing women is unknown. Therefore, such patients must inform their doctor about their pregnancy and lactating status before beginning treatment with Uloric. This medication must be taken strictly as per doctor’s prescription.

Uloric Dosage

The recommended Uloric dosage for the treatment of hyperuricemia with gout is 40 mg once daily. If serum uric acid less than 6mg/dL is not achieved after 2 weeks of treatment with 40 mg, the dose may be increased to 80 mg daily. This medication can be taken with or without food or antacid. Taking this drug can change serum uric acid levels, which mobilize urate from tissue deposits, resulting in gout flares. Therefore, flare prophylaxis should be given in combination with a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) or colchicine. In case gout flare occurs during treatment with Uloric, gout flare should be treated concurrently without stopping Uloric.
