Covid-19 Service Update

At North Drugstore, the health and safety of our customers and staff is our highest priority. Due to the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic affecting us all, there have been some changes within our industry in general, and in our company specifically, that we want to make our customers aware of.

Call Center

Our current call center hours of operation are 6AM – 9PM every day, seven days per week. If you are experiencing increased hold times or are calling outside of these hours, please leave us a message or send us an email and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Due to increased demand on telephone networks worldwide, you may experience some intermittent connection problems. If this happens our agents will call you back.

We are currently seeing delays in our regular shipping times. Our normal shipping time averages 1 - 2 weeks. Shipments may now take an additional 2 – 4 weeks or more to arrive, depending on the source country of your order.

Please note that these times are averages and individual shipping times will vary. We highly recommend that you place your order at least 2 – 4 weeks or more ahead of your normal reorder time to avoid running out of your medication.

These are industry-wide delays and are mainly occurring due to disruptions in local postal delivery in the countries where our customers live. They are temporary, and we thank the shipping and delivery personnel who are working hard for all of us during this global crisis.

Please Note: As these types of shipping delays are not within our direct control, we are temporarily adjusting our regular Shipping Guarantee from 30 days to 60 days. We will provide updates as the situation changes.

Our Commitment

If you have any questions about any changes in our service please do not hesitate to contact us. Our staff are working tirelessly to ensure the timely fulfillment and delivery of all orders. The health of our customers and staff is our highest priority and we remain committed to providing service at the highest level.

We thank you for your support in these challenging times.

Full information about Tobradex Eye Ointment

General Information On Tobradex Opth Ointment

Tobradex Opth Ointment is used for treating steroid-responsive inflammatory ocular conditions, for which corticosteroids are indicated and where superficial ocular infection caused due to bacteria has occurred. The active ingredients in the medicine are Dexamethasone and Tobramycin. Dexamethasone belongs to the therapeutic category of corticosteroids, while Tobramycin is an antibiotic.

The medicine is available in the form of an ophthalmic ointment. It works by fighting the susceptible bacteria responsible for the infection.

Side effects of Tobradex Opth Ointment

Your doctor will not recommend you to buy Tobradex Opth Ointment if you are suffering from epithelial herpes simplex keratitis, varicella, vaccinia or any other viral disease in the conjunctiva or cornea. It is also ineffective against fungal diseases of the ocular structures or mycobacterial infections in the eye.

Do not buy Tobradex Opth Ointment online if you have allergy to any of the components in the drug. It may also contain preservatives that may cause allergic reaction. Symptoms of an allergy include hives, severe dizziness, difficulty breathing or facial swelling. Stop using the drug if you develop any of these symptoms.

Using Tobradex Opth Ointment for a long time may lead to glaucoma, damage of the optic nerves, posterior subcapsular cataract formation, or defects in fields of vision or visual acuity. It may also increase risks of having a secondary ocular infection. Perforations may also surface. You should immediately notify your doctor if you develop any new or worsening symptoms in your eye.

Some of the other side effects that you may experience during treatment with Tobradex Opth Ointment include:

  1. Lid swelling and itching
  2. Conjunctival erythema
  3. Delayed corneal wound healing

If you wear contact lenses, do not forget to remove them before applying Tobradex Opth Ointment. Do not re-insert them within 15 minutes of applying the drug. The ointment may contain preservatives that may cause damage to your contact lenses. Damaged contact lenses may cause irritation or severe infection in your eye. This may worsen the condition.

Dosage of Tobradex Opth Ointment

Usually, your doctor will advise you to apply about a ½ inch ribbon of the ointment in your conjunctival sac up to 3 to 4 times a day. While applying the medicine, make sure that the tip of its tube does not touch your eye surface.

The first prescription should not exceed Tobradex Opth Ointment 8g. Your doctor will modify the dosage if the desired results are not achieved.

Before you buy Tobradex Opth Ointment, inform your doctor if you are using any other ophthalmic medicines, including eye drops and ointments. Also inform him or her if you are already taking any corticosteroids, and anti-bacterial medicines, whether oral, topical or ophthalmic.

In addition to these, inform your doctor about all the medicines you are using at present, including prescription and non-prescription drugs, herbal preparations, and health or nutritional supplements. Based on this information, your doctor will be able to decide whether Tobradex Opth Ointment is the right product for you or not, and what dosage should be prescribed to you.
